This is one of the few palm trees that reliably forms stems in our climate. The original plant came from Leipzig from a ca. 2 m high, very branched Yucca, which we received in the year 2001. This species blooms mostly from May to June, after flowering develops a new trunk laterally from the growing trunk of a side bud. The leaves are gray-green and very (!!!) pointed. Ideal on nutrient-rich soil in full sun.
